from Our Lady's Mirror, Spring & Summer & Autumn 1933

WANTS

Very often pilgrims ask the Administrator what they can give as a present - other than money for building - to the Sanctuary, often with the remark, "you see, you seem to have everything that is needed."

Unfortunately appearances are very deceptive, for at pilgrimage time nearly everything used at the Shrine has to be transported from the parish church and back. Visitors have no idea of the amount of work entailed, or how much good things are spoilt by this continual carting from place to place. It is becoming more and more urgent that the Sanctuary should possess all that is required for use at all the functions held there.

We therefore publish a list in the hope that those who wish to give some gift or gifts, either in thanksgiving or as a token of devotion to Our Lady, may decide on something really needed. In every case it would be wiser to consult the Administrator before sending any of the things mentioned here, as all types of the same thing would not be suitable.
